9A – Testing the Hypothesis, Part 2

Who: First time business owners or struggling business who need advise on how to improve their business. After interviewing people who did not think they needed my service they noted that the cost of hiring a coach was one of the reasons they said no. Also reasons they said no to a coach was because they would rather have an employee who would be part of the business as opposed to an advisory role, or felt they just did not need a business coach. What: As I interview people it seemed they wanted someone who would help manage the day to day operations. Why: Some of the people I interviewed seemed like they would prefer to hire some one full time who would do the work that the coach would be advising, while others did not think the cost of hiring a coach would benefit them. 8A - Solving The Problem

Roughly 70-80% of business fail within a year, for any number of reasons. One of the reasons businesses fail is because owners have lack business experience. This creates an opportunity for business coaching. In other words people with successful experience can help people that are new to the field. My service would allow people to connect with experienced business owners who will provide advice in ways they could improve their business. Things people can improve on include marketing, strategic planning, logistics, goal setting, and etc.

Possible people who might need this could include more experienced business owners who happen to be entering a completely new area they are unfamiliar with, such as opening a restaurant and using this service will benefit them. Testing the What: Most business fail and part of that reason is because small business owners tend to make mistakes they are unaware off. Testing the Why: A lot of people who start business don't go to business school or have never worked for a massive company and they lack the knowledge that comes with years of experience. 4) Interview 1: In this intervi...

6A – Identifying Opportunities in Economic & Regulatory Trends

6A – Identifying Opportunities in Economic & Regulatory Trends Economic Trend: Business Coaching http://www.actioncoach.com/what-is-business-coaching/ I believe the opportunity exists because small business with very few employees will likely come across areas in which they have no expertise in and instead of hiring a full-time employee to handle it, they can hire a coach to help them for a short period of time. The typical customer would be a small to medium sized business. Its relatively easy to exploit because smaller business will lack expertise in certain areas, and hiring a coach would help them learn and develop those skills. I came across articles mentioning it and I researched it a bit and found that it could be very helpful to small businesses. Economic Trend: Small Business Going Global https://www.score.org/blog/look-out-world-small-businesses-are-going-global I believe the opportunity exists because there are way more resources available for s...
